Iter, Iters, Itism

"We use iter, iters in the plural, and itism.  And I can't see my reflection in a mirror or a show window along a street without thinking, iter, iters, itism."
"To listen to your people nobody  would think that anyone who looks like you is an iter."
"It's widespread among people who look like me in countries like mine."
"What about scientists and doctors in these countries, how do they explain this natural system  of selection?"

"It's  not like here in the United States.  Here, people are more open about such things.  I saw this Hollywood actor on some TV station the other day talking about how prevalent complaints against it are here -- and no other countries are ever mentioned, as if the United States is the only country where it exists.  It has become accepted as so foul, and used so foolishly against anyone, that we changed it's name to 'itism,' sprucing it up with the word 'it' to escape being tarnished by it.  Even in our homes in countries where people look like me, they only use iter, iters, and itism."
"If you weren't telling me this I never would have believed that people like you were infected with it to that degree."
"It's all over the world, always has been and as long as people are free always will be -- although there're degrees of it."
"Someone once said that there're no degrees of it, that it's like someone saying that a woman is a little bit pregnant, but I say she's pregnant or she isn't."

"I disagree.  There're different stages to a full pregnancy.  It's like getting punched in the mouth in a fight and getting a few teeth knocked out or getting knocked down and the guy stomps your face in, smashes your ribs and breaks your arms.  One fight is worse than the other."
"So, in countries like yours, do people have itism to a lesser or worse degree than here?"
"Worse.  Because they come here and openly -- as your people do -- march in the streets recklessly accusing other people of discriminating against them, and they don't use 'itism' they use the word that the people here use.  Meanwhile, in countries like mine, they're  eliminating people like you by destroying their existence with silence and keeping them invisible until they disappear."
